Web Operations Intern

Overall Accountability and Job Summary

Zweave is a rapidly growing expansion stage Software as a Service provider. We have launched an array of new software products for customers in the US, India, Europe, and Asia we are actively seeking accomplished, talented, creative and passionate team members.

We are seeking a talented Web Operations Intern to work out of our Boston, MA office. This position requires the following:

Experience:

  • Studying for a B.S. Computer Science
  • One year experience programming with Zope / Plone
  • One year experience with RCS, CVS and LDAP
  • One year experience programming with Python
  • One year experience developing and supporting MySQL database applications
  • One year experience programming with XML
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Apache, Squid, SSL, Zope/Plone CMS, , configuration support as needed
  • Provide Ubuntu Linux configuration, support and maintenance
  • Configure and maintain software development environment incl. Trak, and CVS
  • Provide VMware configuration, support and maintenance
  • Administer and backup ZODB, MySQL databases
  • Provide LDAP configuration and support
  • Support web services and technologies
  • Provide HTML, XML, Java & JavaScript support as needed
  • Provide training to associates in regard to web technologies
  • Test developed modifications or applications before promotion to production
  • Respond to system and network support calls on an as needed basis
  • Manage web projects from start to completion

Project location is in Boston, MA. Work may also be done remotely with regular communication through email and Skype.
